Product detailed description

Czech Heavy Weight running resistance parachute

(also known as a resistance parachute or training parachute)

We have handmade this Czech training parachute for you in the Czech Republic from an extra durable yet lightweight material — the same one used to make real parachutes. It was developed in the presence of top athletes from various sporting disciplines. We learned from the mistakes of imported low-quality parachutes and achieved perfection. One pack contains three parachutes, which attach with a carabiner to the belt for easy resistance adjustment. The belt fastens with Velcro so the parachutes can be quickly released and detached while running.

The Heavy Weight running resistance parachute creates drag from the wind while you run, slowing athletes down. The runner therefore has to put in more effort than in a normal run without a parachute. This is resistance that acts horizontally (parallel to the ground), not vertically (towards the ground) as with Heavy Weight weighted vests, which can be combined with the parachute.

A huge advantage of the running resistance parachute/training parachute is how light and compact it is to carry and handle during outdoor training. You don't have to lug around heavy sleds, tyres or other heavy objects. What's more, the nature of the parachute doesn't restrict your training in any way, meaning you can run any distance — unlike the resistance training rope, which due to its length is used more for starts and short sprints.

All professional as well as amateur sports teams use running resistance parachutes to achieve better results and fitness for their athletes. Training parachutes for running are also used by other athletes in individual training. The resistance parachute helps with muscle growth, improved fitness and overall strengthening of the lower body. It is a great tool for young athletes and children, who should introduce load into their training more slowly and carefully than older children and athletes.

Variants of the running resistance parachute:

  • set of one running resistance parachute
  • set of two running resistance parachutes
  • set of three running resistance parachutes

Why and when should you choose the set of one running resistance parachute? Choose this set if you're a really young athlete or an amateur and want minimal resistance, or if you're buying a resistance parachute for a child. This version of the parachute is great if you're wondering whether you'd like to try gradual loading and want to be careful not to hurt yourself — or whoever the parachute is for — with the load. The resistance is usually so light that an adult barely feels it at all, so it has almost no effect.

Why and when should you choose the set of two running resistance parachutes? In this case, you already know that a young athlete or amateur can gradually load the body, or they have been running with one parachute for a while and can therefore gradually add a second. For an older, more mature individual, on the other hand, two parachutes are where you start when you decide to begin loading your body while running. As an adult, you slowly start to feel that there is at least some minimal resistance.

Why and when should you choose the set of three running resistance parachutes? If you're a really young individual or a child, this resistance is unnecessary for you. Here a young person feels the resistance really noticeably, and it depends on the purpose of the training and the specific age. For an older, more mature individual, the set of three parachutes does make sense, and they feel its effects on strength and fitness much more distinctly. That doesn't mean you can't run with four parachutes and push your training that bit further.

If you'd like to read more about using the running parachute and who can use it and when, take a look at this article.

So you can also use Heavy Weight wrist weights or Heavy Weight ankle weights.

When you're putting in a workout, you want to be sure you can always push it to the max — and that's what Heavy Weight lifting straps are for. They support your grip, and what's more, you can have Heavy Weight lifting straps made with your own print/design.

As we have already mentioned, running resistance parachutes/training parachutes can be used at the same time as weighted vests or Heavy Weight weighted shorts, which provide a different type of load during training. You can choose from several variants, but for running and conditioning training the 10 kg or 20 kg weight variants are usually used. And with a weighted vest, there is no limit on the distance you can run.

In a similar way to the running resistance parachute/training parachute, athletes also incorporate the resistance rope into their training. The resistance rope creates resistance against movement in the opposite direction just like the parachute, but here you are limited by distance, which is why the resistance rope is used more for short runs and starts. It then depends on the length of the rope. The basic rope length is 3 metres and ropes can be linked together endlessly. We have two types of resistance rope according to how they attach to the body. The first way of attaching it to the body is with a belt. The second way of attaching the resistance rope to the body is with a strap vest.

For summer training of hockey players and other athletes, the slide board — or skating trainer — is widely used. Being called a skating trainer doesn't mean it can only be used for that purpose, though. Anyone who wants to improve their fitness or strength, or even lose weight — sportsman or sportswoman — can add this brilliant element to their training, and the results won't be long in coming. The Heavy Weight slide board is a solution for everyone.

Every lover of CrossFit, strength training or conditioning training — as well as soldiers, police officers, firefighters, athletes and amateurs alike — works with weighted bags and kettlebags. With these functional sports tools, you'll have everything firmly in your hands — literally, thanks to the cleverly designed grips.

Now that we've mentioned the sports tools that will keep everything firmly in your hands, you should know that there are also battle ropes/weighted ropes/training ropes, with which you'll build not just your forearms in an amazing way.

In the USA, Jirka Procházka does specific training with the HeavyROPE, training rope, a versatile tool for training in any sport.

From time to time you need to try something new, vary your training and work hard in a slightly different way — and that's where training with the Heavy Weight suspension training system is great, which we use together with a weighted vest for increased effectiveness. You'll find this workout with ideas at this link.

Alternatively, you can achieve a similar effect to the suspension training system by training with Heavy Weight gymnastic rings, which come in two variants. One has wooden rings with a larger grip diameter, the other with a smaller grip diameter. In both cases you can choose between a sturdy strap with a buckle and a smaller strap with a buckle:

If you want to hang weights on a belt, we have three options for you. The first is the most affordable dip belt for complete amateurs and lighter loads. The second option for hanging weights or kettlebells is the middle-of-the-road dip belt for everyone who wants to lift heavier weights in greater comfort. And finally, there is the incredible and indestructible Heavy Weight Extreme dip belt, for those who dip like mad and want to keep dipping for the rest of their lives.

Training is a must, but recovery and stretching are just as important, and you can use the following three products for that: the Heavy Weight foam roller, resistance bands/exercise bands and an exercise mat.

With the roller, you'll release and massage your muscles so they're ready for the next hard workout. When stretching before or after training, you don't want to roll around on the cold, hard ground — you want to be comfortable and give all your attention to a quality, effective stretch. You'll only achieve that on our Heavy Weight exercise mat. Finally, you can also use resistance bands, which, besides warming up before training or strength work, are also used for stretching.

A higher level of rehabilitation and muscle release is provided by the TOP GUN Heavy Weight massage gun, which comfortably and conveniently relaxes your entire body.

Have you heard about the effect of an inclined surface on squats or stretching? Can't find a product that creates that incline for you? That's what we're here for too — we have our 3-in-1 Heavy Weight slant board for you. Whether you want to load a particular muscle group more, increase your squat depth or use it during recovery, we have a solution for you.

And finally, you can throw all our training gear into the Heavy Weight tactical backpack and head off for a hellish workout  — or take it to the mountains, the gym or into town.
